Nature and Biodiversity Protection

Nature and biodiversity protection is not for us a simple ideal, but a daily practice that guides our choices and actions. It begins within our organization itself, through responsible resource management, reduction of our ecological footprint and reasoned use of energy and materials. We thus integrate environmental standards into our internal operations before carrying them outward.

In parallel, we work to create conditions that support a healthy lifestyle, linking environmental protection to public health policies and gender-sensitive approaches. The health of populations depends directly on the quality of their environment: clean air, accessible drinking water, secure waste management and preserved green spaces are all essential factors for preventing diseases and improving collective well-being. This is why we encourage decision-makers to integrate these dimensions into their strategies, so that environmental sustainability also becomes a guarantee of health and social equity.

We work to reduce the environmental impact of health infrastructure by encouraging better management of biomedical waste, optimizing water and energy use, and promoting the use of environmentally friendly technologies. In parallel, we develop educational and community initiatives that link public health and sustainability.

Our actions directly concern hospitals, clinics and health structures, but also local communities, schools, universities, public and private organizations, as well as rural and urban communities. In the long term, we seek to expand our collaboration with research institutions and international NGOs to strengthen the impact of our projects.
    Integration of environmental standards
    • We progressively integrate environmental standards into our services and support our partners to do the same. This translates into training programs on medical waste management, awareness projects on the link between health and environment, or the adoption of sustainable solutions in biomedical engineering and telemedicine.
We advance through progressive approaches adapted to local realities. In the implementation of our projects, we ensure that the environmental dimension is systematically linked to public health and gender issues. This means for example:
      Concrete approaches
      • Supporting hospitals in adopting waste and energy management practices that reduce health risks,
      • Developing educational programs that raise awareness among men and women about the impact of sustainable practices, focusing on the management of water, soil, energy and waste, which directly influence biodiversity preservation,
      • Involving women in resource management projects, recognizing their central role in water supply, domestic energy and food, as their participation is essential to ensure the effectiveness and sustainability of environmental actions.
      Integrated impact
      • This integrated approach allows us to act simultaneously on several levers: ecosystem protection, public health improvement and strengthening of social equity.
      Progressive evolution
      • Our approaches evolve step by step, according to local health and environmental priorities, and are designed to adapt over time.
      Geographic deployment
      • We operate mainly in Côte d'Ivoire and the Democratic Republic of Congo with a progressive opening towards national and international partnerships.
